Here are some work in progress shots, more to follow soon.
Working on a new original piece, and it's from a slightly different angle, from down below, looking up! Iit's fun working on a piece that is a little bit different - for example, I don't usually get to focus much on the muzzle area, but this is great as there is so much detail to be drawn in and this piece will really draw (pardon the pun!) you to that area.

![]() I've updated my commission pricing information to now cover a smaller portrait size - A5 - available from just £40! http://www.equine-representations.co.uk/portraits--prices.html As ever, always happy to discuss any potential commissions or provide quotations! ![]() I'm very excited to be able to offer limited edition prints of my work for sale through my site! I have started off with just one image, Focus, to begin with, and hope to be able to produce more soon! These are limited to a run of just 50 worldwide, and each print is individually signed and numbered. The prints are produced on acid free museum grade paper to ensure maximum longevity of the image. You can purchase these directly through my website ![]() Pleased to share a new orginal piece - and long overdue too! I plan on entering this into the Society of Equestrian Artists annual exhibition, taking place in November. The quality will be very high indeed, and all works must go through a selection process, so fingers and toes crossed! As always, it was tough to come up with a suitable title, and thanks to all the lovely people who like my Facebook page, I had plenty of excellent suggestions to choose from. In the end, 'Listening for Lions' seemed appropriate! 'Listening for Lions' Graphite on Bristol Board - 2012 For Sale - please contact me for details. With only 4 months to go until Christmas, time is running out to order your Christmas commissions! There are already a couple in the diary, so if you would like to commission me to draw your or your friends' horse, please get in touch!
Here are a couple of commissions from earlier in the year that didn't make it on to the blog! I'm sure everyone is very much aware of the hike in prices to post something these days! Up until now my commission prices have included the cost of postage and packaging, but unfortunately with the higher costs associated with postage now, I can't continue to absorb this cost.
As of the 1st July, all new portrait commissions will attract an additional postage charge. Of course, all commission requests up until that date will have p&p charges included still in the overall cost! I was hoping to finish off a new piece in time for this fantastic exhibition in Cheshire, but sadly completely ran out of time. But as always I'm sure there will be some excellent animal art on display here and will definitely be well worth a look!
Hugely excited today as I have just found out that 'Focus' sold at the Horse in Art Exhibition at Obsidian Art!!!
Now I need to really get cracking on some more pieces for further exhibitions this year!!! |
