I decided it would make more sense for my blog to be located on my art website, rather than on an external site; in theory this should make it easier to manage, and I also won't have the worry of forgetting my log in details! It also made more sense to update my Facebook Artist page - http://www.facebook.com/Equestrian.Art - with works in progress and completed portraits.

I have been quite quiet recently as far as drawing and painting goes; I finished off my last Christmas commission a few weeks ago - a graphite portrait of a beautiful Welsh Cob x, and have since been fiddling around with my first proper attempt at an oil painting. I am hoping I will finish this soon....the bulk of the painting is done, however I keep playing about with the finer detail, the more I play the more I decide I'm not happy with something else....and so it goes on! Keep checking back to my Facebook Artist page for updates and hopefully the finished version soon!

    Alexandra Kitt - Equestrian Artist

I specialise in producing realistic Equine art in graphite pencil, and am also working to master other mediums such as oils. Horses are a huge part of my life - I have three of my own - so it is no surprise that they are my favourite subject to draw and paint!
