I had a little spring clean of my art studio space this weekend, and came across a couple of old pieces. My artist style has really evolved since I produced these, and I have no space for them so thought I'd list them on Ebay to give someone else a chance to enjoy them!

Both have a 99p start price and free postage within the UK (excluding republic of Ireland)  - so lots of bargains to be had this week!! Please note both come unframed and unmounted.

Both of the listings are here:

Greatwood Charity Auction

I was approached by the charity Greatwood - an ex-racehorse rehoming center that also provides education opportunities for special-needs children. The charity have been selected for a charity auction dinner at the House of Commons in May.

I have donated 'Attention' to this worthwhile cause, and really hope it raises lots of money! As an ex-racehorse owner myself, I'm pleased to be supporting such a worthy cause!

Here is a (rather grainy!) shot of 'Attention' all framed up!

For more information on Greatwood, and the wonderful work that they do, please visit: http://www.greatwoodcharity.org/

Not much progress made so far...

Unfortunately, I've picked up a lovely cold this week which means giving drawing a wide berth! I tend to bend my head down a lot when I'm working on a drawing, which isn't the best position with a head cold!!!

This is an update from some further work I did to this piece on Sunday - you can see the areas I have blocked in, I tend to produce my drawings in three layers, the first is a basic blocking in of light and dark areas. The second layer builds up on this and really defines the areas, and then the final layer is the detail layer. Sometimes I do go to a fourth layer, depending on the complexity of the area - for example on this piece, I will probably do a fourth layer on the beard of the horse, since it's laying over the neck, and will take a lot of building up to get the right tones.
